Utrecht Reclaims the Streets MONTH OF ECO-INSURRECTION may/june 2002
Six Years EarthFirst! Netherlands May 25-26 : weekend celebration and skill sharing in remembrance of struggle against the Amsterdam port.
1st two weeks of June : reviving the insurrection, a storm of direct action hits the projects we have fought in the past.
June 17 : critical mass to kick-start a fight against new parking garages and destruction of the city green of the town of Utrecht.
June 21 : people, to the streets! to transform Utrecht into an autonomous zone of celebration of the solstice, to counter car-culture, to be in solidarity with all the people on the streets of Sevilla.
We call on all in The Netherlands and around to join our insurrection in June, to defend the earth, all itís life, to fight systems of domination, domination that is mirrored in the cruelty to the earth.
It is our hope that people and their movements around the world converge in spirit for a week of global action against capitalism, to coincide with the EU summit in Spain and the G8 meeting in Canada.
NO COMPROMISE IN DEFENSE OF MOTHER EARTH!
