Annaholty-Shower bog update Feb 2002 (Limerick, Ireland)
Things are quiet here for the moment. We are between the route announcement and the Environmental Impact Statement. Thought you might like to know that the Ombudsman has come down on the Road Design Office and the two local county councils for their failure to comply with EU Directive 90/313 on Access to Environmental Information. Also the 3 bogs which are threatened by the route have been referred to Europe for consideration as Special Areas of Conservation.
