Bingley "Relief" Road protest march - 1st July 2001

A local group opposing the Bingley "Relief" Road in Yorkshire recently held a large protest march against the planned road, watched by security guards employed by the contractors AMEC (who also run British Nuclear Fuels' site at Sellafield and an old ICI chemical works). The road is being built despite it breaking a European Directive requiring an Environmental Impact Assessment.
