Wythenshawe Kids Reclaim the Streets

In Wythenshawe recently a protest was held by local kids against motorists who speed along their street. Messages were chalked on the tarmac urging drivers to slow down and cars breaking the speed limit were shouted at from the pavement.

Traffic on Stancliffe Road has increased due to more vehicles using it as a short cut to a nearby industrial estate. The protesters, aged between six and eleven felt they had to take action as they fear that someone could be killed.
